Doris Hope Hurley, 90, of East Bernstadt, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
She was born on February 13, 1927, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Kelly and Rosa Riggs Parker. She was united in marriage to William Malcolm Hurley, who preceded her in death. She is survived by three children, Debbie Day and husband, Ronnie, and Dexter Hurley and wife, Kathy, all of East Bernstadt, and Darrell Hurley and wife, Joyce, of Annville, one brother, Burnam Parker and wife, Betty, of London, four grandchildren, Tonya Lewis, Tina Jones, Ami Hurley and Amanda Roaden, three great-grandchildren, Jalen Lewis, Makenzie Rush and Kaitlyn Roaden, one step-great-grandchild, Tanner Jones, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Onkst.
She was a retired state of Kentucky employee, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 29, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Allen and Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at East Bernstadt. Visitation was after 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 28.
Pallbearers will be Jalen and Jim Lewis, Logan Hurley, Tim Jones, Roger and Benny Parker. Honorary Pallbearers - R.J. Lewis and Conley Combs.
