Don "Duck" Arthur, 77, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
He was born on October 25, 1939 in Pulaski County, Ky., the son of the late Ted and Anna Dugger Arthur.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Johnson who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Diane Maggard (Randy), Lynn Day (Russell), and Crystal Anders (Rick), all of London; two brothers, Glen "Pig" Arthur and Wayne Arthur; three sisters, Alma Hale, Barbara Baker, and Helen Wilson, all of London; five grandchildren, Donnie and Taylor Maggard, John Logan, and Heather and Haley Day; two great-grandchildren, Devin and Lucas Maggard, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Don Arthur, and a sister, Lorene Williams.
He was a retired logger and was a member of the High Top Missionary Baptist Church. He was also pastor at New Hope Baptist Church for 12 years.
Funeral service for Don Arthur will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Rick Lawson, Jerry Bullock and Delmon Sizemore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery.
Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Thursday also at Bowling Funeral Home.
