Delvor's Story

Mr. Delvor Hensley, 84, of Corbin, Ky., formerly of Leslie County, was born May 4, 1933 the son of the late, J.H. Hensley and the late, Ollie Howard Hensley, departed this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his residence in Corbin, Ky.
Delvor had been a resident of Corbin, Ky., for the past 30 years coming from Leslie County. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the East Side Church of God in Corbin, Ky. He enjoyed cars, auto mechanics and ATV riding, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Delvor was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Seldon Hensley, Vellis Hensley and sisters, Edith Davenport and Easter Hensley. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Easter Sizemore Hensley, whom he was united in marriage to on March 13, 1952; two beloved sons, Clellan Hensley and wife, Melissa Faye and their daughter, Robin Karena Hensley and Jeffrey Hensley and wife, Kay and their daughters, Gloria Blake Hensley and Ollie Beatrice Hensley; sisters, Marie Asher, Hyden, Ky., and Mae Woods, Hyden, Ky., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, Ky., with ministers John Newell and Keith Bowling officiating. Burial followed in the Hensley Family Cemetery on Hillard Road in Corbin, Ky. Pallbearers were J.L. Woods, Brandon Hensley, Mason Hensley, Delaney Hoskins, Mike Morgan and Jarrod Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were Earl Fields and Mickey Howard.
Visitation was on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 5 p.m. at the Funeral Home chapel.
