Deloris "Elaine" Patton Benge, 73, of Portersburg, Ky., wife of Carl Benge, went to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Ky.
Along with her loving husband of 58 years, she leaves behind two children, Carl Byron Benge and wife Janice of Kissimmee, Fla., and Rebecca Delight Eubanks and husband Dallas "Bo" of Corbin, Ky.; a sister, Patricia Ann Patton Asher and husband Bill and their son, Collin Asher and wife Latosha, all of London; eight grandchildren, Justin Benge, Denvil Chandler, Jason Chandler and wife Amy, Jessica Grimes and husband Jamie, Candace Wilson and husband Jeff, Danielle Nantz and husband Brian, Dalton Eubanks and Derek Eubanks; 10 great-grandchildren, Brian Nantz, Jeffery Laux, Byron Grimes, Charlie Grimes, Emma Wilson, Zella Chandler, Liam Chandler, Ayden Chandler, Malachi Wilson and Dallas Jane Nantz.
She was preceded in eternal life by her parents, Coleman and Mattie Elizabeth Patton.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Laurel County Homemaker's Club. She loved her family and her heritage dearly. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always eager to share her faith, wit and wisdom. She was known and loved across Laurel, Whitley and Clay counties after years in the grocery and tobacco business.
Family and friends will be welcomed at Victory Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 13 at 12 p.m. for a Celebration of Life service with Pastor Jared Gullion and Brother Wayne House officiating.
House-Rawlings Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
