Deena Diana Clark
Deena Diana Clark (nee Hughes), long time resident of Lexington, passed away on Nov. 1, 2016 after a short, sudden illness at Baptist Health, Lexington.
Deena was born on April 15, 1948 in Manchester, Ky. She was raised in London and graduated from Lily High School in 1965.
Deena worked for Workforce Development Cabinet for over 30 years, retiring in 2009 and kept an antique and craft booth for many years. Deena never met a stranger. She loved music, always singing and she loved her church. Most of all, she adored her family.
Deena married her high school sweetheart, Robert M. (Bob) Clark and loved him 51 years. She had one son, Colonel William Henry Clark, his wife, Cindi and the lights of her life, grandsons, James Robert, age 17, and David Michael, age 14, all of Versailles.
Deena is also survived by two brothers, Duke Hughes (Paulette) of London and Robert Hughes (Carissa) of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie H. (Bill) Hughes and Roxie Hughes (Nee Shell).
The family will receive friends and family for a Celebration of Life at First Christian Church, 1305 Audubon Ave, Lexington, Ky., on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. with services on Monday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. Graveside service will be at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park Cemetery, London, at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7.
