Daw Rush, 92, of London, Ky., passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at his residence.
He leaves behind two children, Sue Petrey, and Roger Daw Rush and wife Penny, both of London; four grandchildren, Travis Scott Petrey and wife Tammy, William Todd Petrey and girlfriend Sheila, Roger Woodson Rush and wife Kim, and Samuel Ray Rush and wife Amy; seven great-grandchildren, Travis Scott Petrey II, Tyler Shaw Petrey, William Todd Petrey II, Ariel Mackenzie Rush, Dawson Ray Rush, Noah Samuel Rush, and Cody Johnson; brother-in-law, Clayton Williams; his loving caretaker, Darlene Harris, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Lawson Rush; parents, Charles Woodson Rush and Ellen Sweet Rush; five siblings, Ollie Tuller, Vina Nicholson, Denvis Rush, Crystalene Weaver, and Irene Williams; and son-in-law, Bill Petrey.
He was a retired furniture salesman, member of Providence Baptist Church and a 66-year Mason with the Bush Lodge No. 703. He will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Rush was conducted on Monday, May 15, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Roy Faulkner and David Thomas officiating.
Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery.
The family received friends beginning at 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour, also on Monday at the funeral home.
