Clayton  Baker


Clayton Baker, age 82, of London, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland in London.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Janet McLemore Baker; two sons, Doug Baker & wife Debbie, and Keith Baker, both of London; one granddaughter, Jenn Dagley & husband Bob of London; three great-grandchildren, Maddie Dagley, Abby Dagley and Shelby Dagley, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Mittie Jane Gilbert Baker; two siblings, Claude Baker and Roy Clark Baker; and one grandson, William Dean.
Clayton was of the Baptist Faith. He was retired having worked for Ford Motor Co. for 15 years and National Cash Register for 20 years. He also managed the A. R. Dyche Cemetery for 15 years and was a part-time tobacco and cattle farmer.
Funeral services for Clayton Baker will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Brother Michael Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at the Merrimac Cemetery in London.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, beginning at 6 p.m. until the time of also at the funeral home.
The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
