Claudia A. Curry, 87, of London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at her residence.
She was the mother of Wayne Curry, Billy Curry, Darrell Curry, Doug Curry, JoAnn Neeley, and Wilma Gregory all of London, and Rhonda Curry of Louisville, Ky.; the sister of Eva Jarvis, Jimmy Root, Johnny Root, and Carl Gene Root all of London, and Pearl Chadwell of Seymour, Ind.; and the grandmother of Chad Curry of London. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Curry; four children; Gilbert Curry, Jeannie Curry, Sue Hayre, and Homer Curry; by her parents, Willie Root and Mae Bruner Root, and by her siblings, E.H. Root and Phyllis Anderson.
She was born in Manchester, Ky., on April 26, 1929, and was a former factory worker at Caron Spinning Company.
The family of Claudia A. Curry will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30.
Funeral service for Mrs. Curry will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, also in London Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Elmore officiating.
Burial will follow at Chadwell Cemetery, Clay County, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Chris Neeley, Brent Curry, Lucas Bundy, David Curry, Sean Hayre, George Philpot, Bobby Smith and Kenny Robinson.
