Clarence Preston 'Hoss' Adams, 91, of London, Ky., passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at his residence.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II, a bus driver and member of Knox Fork Pentecostal Church.
He was the father of Gene Adams and wife Lola, Eddie Adams and wife Sue, and David Adams and wife Sarah, all of London, and Joyce Bruner of Columbus, Ind.; the brother of June Overbey, and John Adams, both of Indianapolis, Ind., Wanda Sue Wilson, Carl Adams, Elmon Adams, and Dean Adams, all of London.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Asher) Adams; his parents, Terry Adams and Frances (Root) Adams; his daughters, Janice Adams and Linda Adams; and by his siblings, Henry Adams, Leonard Adams, Randall Adams, and Ezekias Adams.
Funeral service for Clarence Preston Adams was conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Pastor Denver Gilbert and Brother Johnny Benge officiating.
Burial followed at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Blackwater, Ky., with DAV Chapter 158, Keavy in charge of military honors.
Pallbearers were Chris Adams, Rodney Adams, Paul Adams, Mike Adams, Larry Williams Jr., and Larry Williams III.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, also at London Funeral Home.
