Cassie Viola French Mink, 100, of East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Saint Joseph-London.
She was born in Rockcastle County, Ky., on August 2, 1916 to the late James Monroe French and Dolly Nicely French.
She is survived by three children, Evelyn Clariece Fields and husband Claude of East Bernstadt, Bernice Hubbard and husband James of Isom, Ky., and Jerry Lee Mink and wife Joyce of East Bernstadt; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Fields, Justin Hubbard, Jessica Carter, Jenna and Jared Mink; nine great-grandchildren, Kelly and Katelyn Fields, Mac, Sam, Elise and Clay Hubbard, Raelyn, Hudson and Bennett Carter, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Otto Mink and three siblings, Maggie Faulkner, Nannie Smith and Kermit French.
Having trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she had been a member of Lakeview Church of Christ approximately 61 years. She was a homemaker and was loved and adored by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral service for Cassie Viola French Mink will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Brother Randy Bingham officiating.
Burial will follow in the Phelps Cemetery of Rockcastle County, Ky.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, also at the funeral home.
