Callie Haney, 91, departed this life at Fountain Circle Health and Rehab in Winchester, Ky., on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
She was born on September 25, 1924, in East Bernstadt, Ky., the daughter of the late Felix and Lula Price Burns.
She was united in marriage to Sherman Haney, who preceded her in death on April 20, 1996.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Helton and husband, Jimmy, of East Bernstadt and Wanda Lee and husband, Matthew, of Clay City; a grandson, Gary Dezarn; four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia, Olivia and Danielle Dezarn; and one great-great-grandchild, Kenley Carrithers, all of Lexington, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie Fredricks and Nora Vance and one grandson, David Wayne Helton.
She was a homemaker and a member of River of Life Holiness Church.
Funeral service for Callie Haney was conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Helton, Bobby Helton and Suzanne Woodruff officiating.
Burial followed in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
Pallbearers were men from River of Life Holiness Church.
The family received friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral hour.
