C.B. Robinson, 89, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2016.
He was born on October 6, 1926 in Laurel County, Ky., the son of the late Chester and Nellie Bond Robinson.
He was the owner and operator of Robinson Stave Mill, a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple and a member of C. D. Ward Lodge No. 961.
He was united in marriage to Imogene Bailey who survives.
He is also survived by four children, Joe Robinson and wife Rita, Diane Robinson and Ronnie Robinson and wife Brenda, all of East Bernstadt and Deborah Nantz and husband Terry of London; a brother, Hubert Robinson of London; and a sister, Sally Robinson of Manchester; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Ada Hensley and five brothers, Forrester, General, Roscoe, Dewey and Albert.
Funeral service was at 12 noon Thursday, Sept. 8, in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Tim Perry, Larry Robinson, Mike Seals and Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial followed in the Robinson Cemetery in Laurel County.
Pallbearers were Shawn Reynolds, Joe Robinson, Cary King, Gary Snyder, William Larkey and Brian Reams.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
