Barbara Cummins's Story

Barbara Cummins Grimes, 61, of London, Ky., wife of Roger D. Grimes Sr., passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her residence.
Along with her loving husband of 24 years, she leaves behind five children, Pamela Denise Platner of London, Roger Dale Grimes Jr. and wife Cindy of East Bernstadt, Keith Edward Grimes and wife Tyler of London, Kimberley Lynn Gray of Greenfield, Ind., and Christopher Michael Ginter and wife Miranda of London; two siblings, James William Cummins of El Paso, Texas, and Priscilla Rose McFalls of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; and 11 grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Herbert and Dorothy B. Hood Cummins; and four siblings, Robert Ernest, Larry Dale, Anthony Herbert and Brenda Kay Cummins.
She was a respiratory therapist, homemaker, of the Pentecostal faith and attended Carmichael Community Church.
She will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Funeral service for Barbara Cummins Grimes was conducted on Tuesday, June 27 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jeff Lewis and Steve Mullins officiating.
Burial followed in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.
Serving as pallbearers were Keith Edward Grimes, Christopher Michael Ginter, Roger Dale Grimes Jr., Robbie Grimes, Jamie Grimes, and Danny Tyree.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Monday, June 26, also at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
