Alonzo Gray, age 76 of Lily, Ky., passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at the home of his daughter. He was born August 31, 1939 in Clay County, Ky. He was a retired Southern States employee and a member of Laurel River United Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters Lisa Sibert and husband Mark of London, and Kim Floyd and husband Tommy of Monticello, Ky.; and a “son” Dennis Bolton and wife Jan of London. He was the brother of Herb Gray of London, Cora Reed of Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie Rush of St. Augustine, Fla., and Phillip Rush of Somerset, Ky.; the grandfather of Macey Sibert of London, and Chris Floyd and Jordan Floyd, both of Monticello, Ky.; and the great-grandfather of Tanner Floyd of Monticello, and Hadley Floyd of London. He is also survived by a special friend, Betty Miller of London. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice (Wilson) Gray; by his parents, Edward Gray and Rebecca (Day) Gray and Verdis and Hazel Rush; three sisters, Alice Peters, Lucy Grubb, and Faye Washabagh; and four brothers, James Gray, James Rush, Fred Rush and Bill Wyatt. Funeral service for Alonzo Gray will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, in London Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Floyd and Eddie Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Floyd, Jordan Floyd, Dennis Bolton, Mark Sibert, Fred Wilson, and Dan Boston. Honorary pallbearer will be Buck Wyatt. The family of Alonzo Gray received friends at after 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, also at the funeral home.
