Albert Chandler Hale, 78, Laurel County, Ky., passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Baptist Health - Corbin.
He was born May 3, 1938, in Laurel County, the son of the late Milford and Mary McFadden Hale.
He was united in marriage to Velma Faye Asher Hale, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by four children, Albert W. Hale and wife, Jan, Sandra G. Moore and Michael A. Hale, all of London, and Lisa A. Hale of Cookeville, Tenn.; a sister, Theda Hatcher and husband, Bill, of London; a brother, Dennis Hale and wife, Vilas, of Louisville; two grandchildren, Kelly McFadden and Christopher Hale; seven great-grandchildren, Scott and Logan McFadden, Nathanyl Collins, Abigail, Aurelia and Charlese Hale, Isabella House, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, William "Bill" Eugene Hale; two sisters, Doris Jones and Velma Helenski; three brothers, Tilmon, George F. and Eugene Hale; and two grandsons, Joshua Chandler Hale and Justin Ryan Hale.
He was a retired National Standard employee.
Funeral service for Albert Chandler Hale will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Benge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery at London.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be members of the Bush Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Crossroads Fire Department.
